Rachel Kolar McCord
Rachel’s intersectional training and studies include Psychology at The California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco (CIIS), Anthropology & Social Change at CIIS, Hermetics (La Droit Humain) at Krotona Institute in Ojai, CA, Playwriting at NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts in New York, and on-site therapeutic support at Ambio Clinic in Tijuana, Mexico. After completing a three-year comprehensive training, she is pursuing a PhD in Integrative Psychedelic Therapy at The AWE Institute in Colombia, while also learning from the teachings of communities in Mexico, Ecuador, and Gabon. In 2024, she began a Masters of Divinity program at Starr King Ministry in Berkeley, CA, preparing for ordination as a Universalist Unitarian chaplain.
Rachel lovingly upholds a Private Practice specializing in artistic, ceremonial, and therapeutic approaches to healing through live music and medicine, designing and facilitating private and group gatherings, rituals, and rites of passage. She provides therapeutic support for her clients and community, specializing in experiential learning, bespoke preparation and integration, couples therapy, optimization, and assisting individuals in returning to their baseline after challenging life experiences.
Rachel is director of Moon Valley Choir—a women’s choir in Ojai, CA, writing and performing ceremonial music and ritual theatre for communities, retreats, and end of life care. She recently became adjunct faculty for the Ecstatic Mysticism program at the Awe Institute.
Orpheo McCord
From digging into desert grooves with Touaregs on the rooftops of Timbuktu to all-night trance sessions with Sufi masters in the mountains of Morocco, percussionist, composer and adventurer Orpheo McCord has traversed a wide musical landscape over the past 20 years.
He is co-founder and composer for Chromasonic, creating immersive experiences exploring the relationship between light and sound and has been an active member of the Grammy award winning group Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros since the group’s inception in 2009.
Orpheo lovingly upholds a Private Practice specializing in ceremonial and therapeutic approaches to healing through live music and medicine. Through McCord’s continuous exploration of non-ordinary states of consciousness, he developed a unique sonic palette used to facilitate and activate these states.
Orpheo is certified in Integrative Psychedelic Therapy from The AWE Institute in Colombia, and continues learning from the teachings of communities in Mexico, Ecuador, and Gabon.
